You're an old-time log driver whose job is to drive logs through rivers and rapids. Use your trusty pike pole to steer logs and break logjams. In an emergency, blow up stuck logs with dynamite.

How to play

Drive the minimum number of logs within allowed time to advance to the next run. The time limits get stricter, and logs tend to tumble more as the runs get more difficult. After four successful runs, you get to advance to the next level on a different section of the river.

Each completed log gives bonus time. Once you met the minimum goal, keep driving logs to get more dynamite sticks and to win the coveted Perfect Run badge.

Controls

  • Move - arrow keys or touch / mouse swipe
  • Hook / unhook pike pole - space bar or single tap on the log driver.
  • Throw dynamite - [d] or double tap on the log driver
  • Move logs - walk around while pike pole is hooked to a log.

The [p] key takes you to player profile where you can view stats and set your preferences.  The touch / mouse controls are disabled by default to avoid interference with key controls.

The [r] key resets the game to beginning. The preferences, career stats and progress are saved from game to game, unless user cache (usually under AppData folder) is deleted.

Hints and tips

  •  The current is fastest in the middle of the river and slowest near the shores.  Push logs towards the middle to make them run faster.
  • The pike hook point slips if there's too much force applied. Find logs that are easy to move to break up log jams.
  • Sideways logs tend to tumble because of shear: the end closer to shore moves slower than the end closer to the middle of the river. Try to straighten up sideways logs before they cause logjams.
  • Dynamite can be very efficient in clearing log jams but destroys logs you're expected to drive and prevents you from gaining a Perfect Run.
